What about modding HR-03 plus to cool CPU
I have HR-03, but i dunno how to bend the heat pipes so they don't touch the mobo's mosfet heatsink ????

How did you bend the heatpipes? Can you post a picture from the side?

    Thanks for your help.

I just do it by hand...

If you want a more technical way to do it you might have luck using some pipe to brace against or help apply force against a fixed item (bench vice or whatever is handy).

Cut from a 1U heatsink with a dremel. For digital vrm's on video cards, and other small hot things.

lol late reply sorry for that.

i just carefully clamped the heatpipes to a surface and bent the heatpipes near the base and near the rad.

those 8mm heatpipes are tough though, the 6mm ones are way easier.

    Northbridge heatsinks from Dell P4's.
Cut with dremel and mounted with AS thermal adhesive to motherboard mosfets.

    yep

Yes there is quite a difference in temps, idle is about 37c, full load is in the 40s depends on what your running, so made a big difference. Stock i was hitting 60c +.

    Thanks a lot...

I hope to use another HR, maybe soldering both to have a unic heatsink.

Also, the temps are really good, here's a screen:

As can you see, the delta is about 3-4 degrees from idle to full.
