    New catalyst will enable AA @ UE3-Games w/ ATI-GPUs

    source (german): http://www.pcgameshardware.de/?article_id=630194

PCGH got hold of a new catalyst beta version. With this driver its possible to enable AA at any game which uses the unreal engine 3. They even did some early benches with a HD3850. But this driver might not be released untill Cat. 8.3. Dont knwo if this will work only with HD3k-series or if u can use HD2k/X1k-series too.

They better get Crossfire working with 2+ cards, in all games, without zillion hotfixes.

Don't get me wrong, I though Bioshock looked excellent. Although the lack of AA was apparent and a distraction from the image quality at times to me.

    I think 4x is actually 2x, 8x is actually 4x, and 2x is actually 8x.

I wish I would have been aware of this given that it is true.

    Agreed.
4xFSAA performs best out of the FSAA, then 8x, then 2x?

Nice to see some progress. Now if only ATI would enable software/emulated SM3 for X800 series
