Silly name, wonder what chipset that is, they could call it asus rog bonzai (for a peaceful, serene kinda gamer(maybe green coloring on the 10kg of heatpipes), or Banzai for the more aggressive type),lol.
LOL, what a stupid name.
X48 is Rampage
780i is Striker II Formula
so 790i or maybe P45 ?
Wait & See
790i will be DDR3, so Striker II Extreme
Bonanza is P45, perhaps
EDIT: lol they took it down.

Oh he's back
Striker Extreme is 790i
so what is Bonanza ?
790Ultra ? ou one of the next Intel chip ?
i downloaded the .rom
and i found this :
$ASUSAMI$BONANZA 0201 01/17/2008-19:04:01 945GC ASUS rombuild415
945GC sucks it can't be a ROG :/
It's up....but the folder's empty.
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/Bonanza
or you can get it here : http://infomars.fr/forum/index.php?s...26&#entry19526
i uploaded it
Intel's 945 board was called Bonanza. That would be "test board" that figures in my custom waterblock thread.
I bet it's P45.
opening the bios shows a pci option rom with the vendor:device code - 8086:2772
a quick google of ven_8086&dev_2772 showed me:
Card name: Intel (R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family Chip type: Intel (R) 82945G Express Chipset Family

As I remember, there was more than one bonanza, about one a chipset family. 'Twould make sense...
Perhaps it's a directory for a "BIOS Bonanza" where ASUS provides the killer BIOS every user of every board has been waiting for their whole lives?!
Uhm, I think this thread is about too close...
Thread starter banned..?
I'd ask my ASUS contact tomorrow, however, I wont post a thing if its not meant to be published...
