    In line filters?

Anyone had any experience with the little MIPS filter?

I'm considering my options. Have to redo part of a loop (adding EK mosfet blocks) and maybe a filter is an idea.
This looks like it'd slow things down as it loads up though.

I could see it being useful during your leak-test run to catch anything you missed with your initial flush, but other than that, it's just spending money to reduce flow.

In a well cleaned loop, I don't see a reason to use a filter so like Daemonfly said, it's just tossing money to cut flow. Another thing would be the hassle to drain the loop to clean the filter if it happen to get gunked.

I am pretty sure that Radical_53 used that filter.

I read a blurb about filters at an aquarium site that filters generally catch algae growth, where it will continue to build up.

I've got a big blue filter similar to what Petra sells that I'll be using when I flush my PA120.2. It's going to be a rather elaborate set up and I don't have all the details sorted just yet but I'll post up a pic when I do. It will be for flushing only and will never go inside a case (well, at least with any hardware).

Jedda, I think those filters are more high maintenance than what you want for your loop, maybe if you planned to pull the loop apart every couple of weeks it would be worth it. I don't think that is your intention considering all the trouble you just went through to settle the case into it's new "home".
    Circles SucQ!

    Got that right!

Like you, I used a micro irrigation system filter during leak testing and got it all pretty cleaned out.
Probably be big fun making that filter but never use it. lol
