No. I would not own one. But some of my friends have got one. And I got myself a thorough walk through. And I also played with a cheap Chinese copycat one to see the diffference between the two.

iphones are ok. very nice to have in the begining, but the novelty of it wears off fast. i wouldnt mind it so much if i didnt see so many pretentious asshats flashing their iphones trying to impress people
it might not be great, but i have a TMO dash that does a good job at internet, plus i have a pretty good NES emulator running on it
i might be going over to sprint in a few months and take advantage of their sweet SERO plan. i just wish they had a phone like the htc tilt. the mogul is similar, but only has 64mb ram which is virtually similar to a vista machine running on 512mb ram.

ps: does anyone here have a htc touch? if so, how is it? i just noticed it comes with 128mb ram

I've had the HTC touch for 2 months now and I love it. The web browser is not as nice as an I-phone (mobile safari i think) but I'm very satisfied with everything else.

Ha! Maddox 's got the iPhone well looked at here. The iphone has several limitations that takes it away form the altar of epic handhelds.

Well everything which is not included in the iphone can be upgraded . missing mms? well got to the installer an install mms

There are lots of people writing programs for the iPhone to complete all the missing things.

The comparison on this page is really stupid...

    http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=iphone

If you train a little bit you can write sms very quickly and you dont need such a huge keyboard than the Nokia... The Nokia design is awfull and looks like a toy

The Nokia E70 not only plays mp3s, video, has a full browser and Wi-Fi, IMAP and POP3 email, and Google Maps, but you can even run terminal software to telnet or SSH into remote servers
well you can install SSH on the iPhone, you can use VNC on the iPhone....

    @ The big bashors

well if you cant stand apple products, leave this section of the forum...

^^^ So you then have to source more software and upgrades to give it cpabilities that a normal phone should have when it leaves the shop. That like selling a Dell PC and saying... 'BTW you'll have to source the gfx yourself even though we sold this as a complete PC'. It falls way short of the line.

EDIT: Ok. I must make an apology of sorts. I though this thread was in 'Hardware' mother forum and didn't realise it was in the 'Mac & others' daughter forum.

yes of course Apples politics arent correct, and they should upgrade the iPhone by their self, but but jailbreak and Installer you can use your own Programms
