[jooke]CES is announced in France -> proof
[/joke]
Enjoy
LOL!!
w.r.t the first mobo, i'm in love with teh CPU socket area, and the massive clearance and cleanliness in general.
The BIOS shots above look fantastic - finally someone making sense of the miriad of setting available with pointers on what affect different components!
ORLY? put 4..no 2 R680s and run 3dmark06 at 8x and then at 16x. the amout of bandwidth would choke the cards, if 8x didnt make a difference then ATI would have used a 16x bridge on the R680 instead of a 32 lane bridge. if some one is buying a mobo that big, they arent going cheap on the gfx cards.

Ok, now this is just silly.
I am talking from experience, and 3dmark06 scores right now. I had the asus commando (16x4x), and I now have the asus maximus formula (16x16x), I don't see how their can be any argument over my point.
and I am talking r600, the more bandwidth hungy ones.
Afaik, the dual gpu ones, don't support quad cards and octofire. But being as they don't exist retail yet, guessing at what they'll need is pointless.
