Why not buy a few sockets then and solder them on while you have the BIOS chip removed...

Btw, has anyone yet found schematics for a SPI programmer or one that does not cost $300?

Hello community,as i have written to a post of mine it is indeed possible to hotflash and bios chip with flashrom using of course a working mobo with a physical identical bios socket. All you need it a supported mobo by the flashrom utility and ofcourse flashrom on linux. This way, i have successfully hot flashed the 4way arima quad (mcp55) bios on an Iwill ZMAXDP(nforce3),acer x3450 bios chip on asrock 880g ,etc etc.Always respect to hipro5 whose photos are from a Greek hardware reseller bythe way,PLAISIO.
