Question ASUS Maximus Vote... Thumbs Up?... Thumbs Down?

Moans, Groans, Beotches, and Complaints please post here...

...Forget the Maximus versions/revisions/BIOS updates. We all want to know if this board is still performing to satisfaction, even though it is out of production. My intent here is to get all of us owners to vote and post a response as well, not just a random vote "Yes" or "No", but a vote along with a comment. A final critique, if you will, of ASUS engineering on this limited production board...

Here's my input: Is this board a RAM Killer?, Hangup on detram?... I had to "UP" my dramV to just above Dominator spec's of 2.1V. I have a for this board but I am becoming suspect when settings are no longer stable. Settings that have been stable for weeks...

Post your Moans, Groans, Beotches, and Complaints.

if u have 2.1V dominator it has qibmonda and u shouldent up the voltage ti will just add heat and no more clocking (im may actually lower the ocability)

Voted no. Call me greedy, but I want a mature bios with DRAM:FSB 1:1 on the 266 strap, and all the bells and whistles which Asus themselves have proven is capable with this chipset. I will feel cheated if I don't see these things. My 2 cents.

I was hoping this would not be a nitpick of my settings. This is why I have no sig ATM.... Click on spec's here for my RAM specs:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145043

If I run my memory in the first two slots, all is good. When I ad two more I get graphical corruptions. This did not happen with my first maximus. Whats up with that? lol.

Lot of truth in those words...

I'm holding out for a Magic Bios that makes all the headaches go away as well. The "board symptom" discovery process was interesting, as it seemed that everyone had some kind of symptom inherit to their setup. 450FSB seems to be the limit of my board, but again holding out for that Magic Bios.

You may need to set Dram Static to Auto

If you get the DET RAM hang its usally just a matter of finding the right Trans Booster setting
No need to clear cmos and certainly no need to power down and wait the bios is just fussy kinda like a woman
-I switched to Slots 2 & 4 and used 400 Strap w/ Trans Booster: Enabled Boost Level 0
-BSOD on high overclocks with Nostromo N52 Speedpad: Increased NBv to 1.65(Probe) seemed to "fix" it for now.

    Overall:
Waiting for Magic Bios, but I "enjoy" the discovery process with new hardware and the collaboration of informed users. I learned some new, allthough unorthodox troubleshooting ideas, and was apart of one of the Biggest Post Count Threads I think I've seen since TCCD and Venice days. So we'll see after the Non-SE's continue to flood the market how much Bios attention we should see in the coming months.

Yes, I like it, just not sure how much. Some ram works some does not, good fsb for dual core.

The only bad thing on Formula is the fsb. It is hard to play past 545.
Quad GT on the other hand seems to go further, but in some cases it cannot
    play 'high' memory modules (600+).
Gigabyted X38-DQ6 can handle high fsb without much of tweaking (580+) but it is slow
    in timings of chipset/memory.
