    thermalright ultra 120

    just curious, on my current mobo the foxconn x38 ican't moount it, vertical, will it still work if i mount it horizontal?

    Yes.
    But be more clear. Mount were? on PC case?
    Mobos should work wheever the position you choose. No problem on that unless the heatinsk is a problem.

    hmm well i have the p180 with the foxconn x38a motherboard,
    and the stupid heatpipe gets in the way if i seat the thermalright in the vertical position, blowing the air to the back,

    so i can only position it blowing air to the top fan, which is then mounted horizonal , i didn't know if that would matter cause i know some companies state that their heatsink for optimal settings etc should be seated in one way.

    If you have good air-flow, then there is no problem.
    Also, many PSUs have a fan extracting the air from the part you say.
