True. I have an ultra-120 extreme waiting for an e8400 or e8500. But the price totals to around $80-$90 when you add in buying an s-flex fan since none come with it.

They have the tuniq tower 120 on sale for $45 which includes a fan and fan controller at newegg:

Since these chips run cooler than C2D's, a tuniq would probably do just fine as well.

I think the tuniq is the best air cooler available, its pretty cheap and keeps my mates QX6850 @ 21 C idle and rarley goes over 30 under load.

Tuniq and Scythe Ninja Plus are cheap and will most likely suit your needs. TRUE 120 would be best performing but comes with a price premium that IMO isn't worth it as it would be a miracle if you reached a higher clock than say 50MHz choosing a TRUE 120. I'd say go for Tuniq Tower but I notice it wants a reasonable rpm rate of 1500~1600rpm+ to perform great according to my own testing just putting my hand next to it :p and at 1600rpm a "silent PC" enthusiast would start freaking out and a Scythe Ninja is probably a bit more silent due to the difference in design so if silence is important, go Scythe, otherwise Tuniq. We're talking like 1~2C and 1~2dB differences here probably so not a big issue, whatever's more important for you.

I don't understand why TRUE 120 is so popular, it's like 20 EUR or $25 expensier than the others when a fan is needed as well and performs perhaps 2~3C better.
