    c2d 4200 only 33 degree

I setup again my water cooled rig
    and the results are impressive

    E6850 3000 @ 4200 mhz
    vcore 1,55
    ambient : 23 degree

    idle just 33 degree
    full load under orthos ( 2 core enable ) 66 degree ( usable 7/24 )

    just hanging on

    uh sorry mate
I could'nt get any temp readings @ 1,55 vcore cause it's not stable enough to run orthos

    I could get that
    @ 1,6 vcore idle

and 1,6 vcore load under orthos ( cause of the extra 0,05 vcore is the difference of 66 - 73 degree , thanx )

Your chip should be cool looking at the VID, but what does your chip do in temps at stock idle, any pics?
Looking at that, your hardware sensors looked borked because your 36C at 4.2GHz/1.61V after 5 min torture would mean you're getting sub-16C idle at 3GHz/1.28V in 23C ambient.

Can you give us EVEREST showing temps and Core Temps along with it at any speed/volts (idle)?

thermal measurement is 15c off the t-junction should be 85c not 100c therefore 15c lower than actual, in other words addd 15c to your temps. it is a common issue ,sorry to disappoint you.

    feel free to correct me

common problem been known about for months. for instance my phase unit is at -41 yet core temperature is reading -50 in everest, cpuz, etc. with 1.6v going to my cpu it is obvious that the temps are off.

exactly that means instead of 33 you are at 48c which is still only as accurate as the software it is using anyway.

nothing to do just add 15c when you look at the temps. I use the same board with an e-6600 and the temps read 15 degrees colder than they should be. for instance my asus p5k deluxe read 4 degrees c warmer than my evap temp. where the p-35 lp-ut reads 11 degrees colder than the evap. which is impossible.

    hmm

you r talking about e6600 and there is differences with my go rev e6850

and what I know theres 15c difference with the ex models of conroe

    I'm talking about g0 rev's
so please give me any temp reading prog , we can compare our results
or I can compare with your program and coretemp (tjunction 100 )

    thanks for your help

I think you're muddled up there jimmy.
E6x50 (G0) have Tjunction of 100C, E6600 and others before then had Tjunction of 85C. You can see this with my last C2D, E6750 with 85C Tjunction idling 1.48V BIOS 3.72GHz ambient 14C:

As you can see, it should be TJunction 100C, so +15C to those temps.

i guess what i am saying is the same you add 15c to the temps it gives you to get actual temp. it is just that I run on the - side since i am sub-zero.
