    Why wouldnt it? it only needs 1 PCIe slot...(its cooler takes up the other which doesnt need pplugged in on a mobo...

    so it doesn't need a crossfire mobo to run 1 of these cards? I was under the impression it was using crossfire somehow to have 2x R680 gpus on a board.

    We have no more official information from AMD.

    But the price and power consumption will be lower than two HD 3870's.

    No Crossfire mobo needed.This card has already a controller (PLX chip) on it.The Gpus communicate over this ''bridge'' chip

    "Use up to 4 GPUs with an AMD 790 FX based motherboard." What is that supposed to mean. I mean, wasn't it already stated that they will run in Crossfire on a x38 based motherboard (Maximus Formula)?

    Well yeah , it will support CF in multi card platform bcuz that is why you'll need a 790 chipset. I doubt 4 is a possibility but AMD making 3 cores per PCB is not that impossible at all. But a 32nm process will be required if they ever think about implimenting it.

    It's obvios why they made it so looong. If they would have made it shorter they would have had to crop that ruby eyes picture. blasphemy! we want ruby sexy eyes in full glory!
