I've never encountered a situation that needed a long time at defaults after a flash, I mean the bios was cleared, and if the flash worked, setting to defaults, and then going up from there, should show differences IF the problem was bios related.

Maybe I'm missing something in the wording BE, I dunno.

He mentioned that when above stock settings, that he had warm boot problems, so IF it was bios related, the problem was either fixed, or it wasn't I would think.

This isn't a bash, I just don't understand why he would leave it at Optimized defaults after the flash, when his problem isn't at default- it's when he's in a Non-Default scenario.

Well he has problems existing so let it warm up at defaults for a while and see if there is any noticeable issues then go into seeing if problem still exists at what the settings were that were giving issues.

I always let my PC warm up at optimized defaults for a while after flashing plus the new Bios if you run the .EXE Package the entire top row of blocks DO NOT get Updated and that may have been my issue on that Bios so I gave him the switching Parameters along with the /F Switch and it should have written all this time minus a couple on the top row when programming and by doing it twice allows for cleaner flash and better chance of over writing the old properly.

So we will see what happens.............................

Thinking of getting one of these (if motherboardpro ship to UK) to use with 2 x 3870XTs and a 5000+ BE until the newer revision Phenoms are out.

Are there still BIOS issues with this and dual cored CPUs Brother Esau? Any news on BIOS updates...? Whats the clocking like on this board with dual core CPU? (If you know that is. )

To infinity, and beyond! (Azza was taken )

Hopefully Oskar and crew will get on it...

Tony said he's been talking to him about issues, so hopefully they will be addressed.

    Yeah

I've only seen 2 bios so far though, and you yourself has said many times that the newest one blows(as I've heard from others), so Oskar and his guys need to get on the ball and start working on these issues...
I'm surprised that the "best" bios is the original......

I PERSONALLY am hoping for a good(Hopefully DFI) Nv 780a board to compare, and I won't buy until I see the comparsion.....

I've had little faith in Amd boards, and have a feeling they will come in 2nd place.....

    Hopefully we'll know soon.

Well, considering the 12/11 bios blew, maybe they will actually fix wtf they broke...., and THEN give better performance to boot on the next one...

12/11/07 Bios sucks ass and I thought that when I tested the Alpha and gave feed back why its available out of the Beta section Baffles me it should be cast awat as well as the 12/6/07 Beta which is rubbish also!

Oskar and Crew needs to do something because whats available for most which is for Phenom is not suitable at all and not everybody wants to stay on Dual Core myself included

I'm really starting to get ticked off myself as to why there is No Bios released Updating the AMD Source Code I mean Gigabyte and MSI , ASUS all seem to be steadily working on getting the Bios Updated wheres D.F.I with all of this considering how great this board is and how much better it ca be with the Proper Bios coding written for it I myself want to know whats up with this?

What size of fan can be fit on the transpiper's heatsink? I see two wire bails on it.

Man... I was SERIOUSLY going to order this board tonight!!

Does anyone use this board with a Phenom? Other than Speedlimiter who dissappeared (Scary... )

I may have to do a little more research.... Not sure I even like the Bios reset instructions, leave the battery in and the Jumper moved for at least 1/2 hour?

I'm sure it will be a good board, but MSI's looking better all the time...

Go talk to KTE and I am sure you will not even consider saying that again/
More than likely he got what he needed fixed and pissed off most kids are that way this day in age!

Remeber most of the time you only here people complaining when something is wrong and I don't see him complaining anymore so I guess what I said is true, would have been nice if he gave me some feedback as if my switching comands help sort out the issue with the Bios Flash

Do what I did reverse the Clips and Just put the fan in between the clips and compression will hold it put. You'll need a small flat edge jewelers screw driver just to open the clips up slightly so the fan seats correctly against the fins of the cooler it will not come out I use the same fan

You'll have to wait I am working on the 790FX-M2R Bios Template right now.

You're welcome and actually I just took pictures when I flashed my Bios and had it unplugged where I could turn it around to do it

P.S......Turn you're fan around the other way so it blows away from the rear of the case

Heres a screen shot of 3470MHZ Priming @ Stock Board Voltage you can see how well the Temps are under Full Load and also how inaccurate Smart Guardian CPU Temp is Under Load as well, Looking at CoreTemp

EDIT: Heres my screen shot (bottom shot) when I woke up just minutes before 8hr Prime Run was completed but it Failed 12 minutes shy of 8hrs Just a little 1 notch kick to the Vcore will pass 8hrs + but the Entire Board Less vdimm which is @ 2.14v is all at Stock

Also for the Record....This is on the "New" 12/21/07 Beta Bios so I find great worth in this Bios so far it proves very stable and thinking I like it better than 11/22/07 Official Bios

    Congrats!

Do you have any idea how can I enable the AHCI mode on this board? I see just Legacy, Native and Raid modes in the BIOS. I set the Native mode, but I can't see the hotswap option on the taskbar.

MOD: What is the difference between the CPU Host/HTT Clock and the CPU Host/HTT Boot Up Clock? ...and what is the CPU Host/HTT Adjust Gap?

Hi, i'm back with no new findings. Let the PC run with optimized BIOS defaults the last week and tried to do some OC yesterday. Set HTT to 210 and ... BlackScreen. Also tried the new beta (flashed it the way it is described 4 posts above mine).

At least i'm not alone with this problem. Found two guys @ forumdeluxx.de who have exactly the same problem with their Pehnom 9500. The Boot/BlackScreen problem starts at 204-205 HTT.
