i dont like 2k6... i never did... its just 2k5+more colours and a huge cpu dependancy
and 2k5 is already too cpu dependant for my tastes...
    Hence my 7.75k in 3dm06...

Sampsa and FUGGER, can you run LOD +3, +6, +9, +12 and +15 to see how that varies?

Nice work both. I guess there is an outside chance now for someone in the world to manage to have the right hardware to get to the top of the ORB with a purely air cooled system. ( before it got smashed to bits...)

With ambient at about -5-10C a new 780, a Yorkfield and 3 Ultra's would probably just about do it.

When was the last time a purely aircooled system was at the top of the Orb?

    Regards

    Andy

Contact between stock cooler and G80 was horrible!

Finnish computer shop Jimm's PC-Store sent 3 PCS of Swiftech Stealth watercooling blocks for 3-Way SLI overclocking session, thanks!

    Stealth mounted on 8800 Ultra

    PLEASE POST 3DMARK 2006 SCORES!!!

It's not that big of a deal. And if you can afford this kind of money for this rig, go buy a proper tri-sli bridge, look at the tri-sli benchmark over on guru 3d reviews.

    http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/481/

Most of us really don't care about 2003 anymore, it's old, it doesn't properly stress your system, and it doesn't fully utilize SLI.

    You'd rather speak for yourself.

2001 is even older but still the most beloved 3d benchmark around here.

100K is still one hell of an achievement, especially with a homemade SLI bridge.

    help , why only 2 vga ???

    Dear all, need yr help..........
I'm using Asus Striker extreme 680i sli and QX6850, I installed 3 vga 8800GTX trying to have tri-sli running.....but my system see just 2 vga !!!
I installed Vista Ult 32bit, also hotfix for multi vga, than 169.25 driver, but nothing, from nvidia control panel is stated only to enable sli (not 3 way sli as shown in all others pictures around the web). In effetc also gpu-z see only 2 vga as same as peripherical hardware in properties of Computer shown obly 2 vga. 3dmark06 I reached 18500 score with CPU @ 3667 but this is a score for normal SLI.
Nevertheless on Nvidia panel control once again.....no way to enable 3 way sli, only normal, in effect also abt temperature panel I see just 2 vga.

    pls help me.....what shall I do ?

    thank you

On and on again ... It has been clearly stated by a lot of 3-Way SLi overclockers that there is a very small gain in 3D 06 with 3 VGAs ...

3D 03 on the other side of the coin, is an "empty" benchmark, as the outcome only depends on raw gpu power ... And that's why, 3-Way SLi has an incredible impact on 3D 03 ...

OLD ? So what ? 3D 01 is older than 3D 03, and still a lot of great overclockers are still benching it ... Do you have any idea, how much time and effort it takes to achieve a great score on that specific benchmark ? Have you also ever heard about the art of tweaking ? That's the marvelous thing about 3D 01 ...

    Regards,
    George

    Bench 06 @ 2560x 4-8xAA|16xAF, you'll see Tri-SLi make a difference.
