Method for i used OC it....

    1. I run ATITool 0.27beta4 and go to setting page you'll see BUS:3,Dev:0 = GPU1 default clock show 411/450MHz and BUS:4, Dev:0 = GPU2 default clock show 825/901MHz... so select GPU2(BUS:4, Dev:0)

    2. back to main page ATITool and you'll see on profile is show Default(825/901) so click "LOAD" and after click GPUZ will show 825/901MHz on card-2 but in clock bar ATITool will show 411/450MHz you don't interested it

    3. For OC card type clock number in overclock-bar as 900/950 and enter... so after enter you'll see in GPUZ will show clock same you type in card-2

    4. Close ATITool and run AMD GPU clocktool, see on device - BN:3, DN:0 = GPU1 and BN:4, DN:0 = GPU2... you'll see GPU1 run on default clock(825/900) but GPU2 will run same on you setting by ATITool 900/950(891/945 real)

    5. Now you can overclock all GPU by AMD GPU clocktool and gpu clock will same both speed

btw. i'm not confirm this method will success on everyone and not sure is really clock same both GPU

Just use amd tool by itself, it will say that the o.c failed but it really worked, just click on get clock info. I don't know why it says it failed when it works but my scores show it is clocking both cores. btw 918/1062 is the best I can get on air.

Now don't use that info to pass me up on the HWBOT ZoLKoRn.

hey guys has anyone else experienced this? after setting frequencies in AMD Tool (say 950/999) then running a bench, like 3DMark 06, going back into AMD Tool it shows the second card down to 900/999. not sure if it lowers it during the bench or after. just wondering if anyone else is experiencing that.

nope mine stays where I put it. keep in mind it moves in steps. if you set 907 for example it really sets it at 904.5 you need to go past 918 for the next step. clock divider appears to use 27 mhz steps as ati has for a few generations. I feel I get better performance sticking to the full steps 905,932,956 etc. than if I use the half steps ie: 918, 947 etc.

yeah i know it clocks in steps but if i go over 950MHz, the one core is always 900MHz after running a bench. thanks for letting me know yours doesn't drop though, at least now i know that i should be able to get it not to fall.

As far as I can make out this guide doesn't work at all on Vista 64bit.

Using ATITool 0.27b4, nothing seems to change what is shown in GPU-Z.

    Comparing a Yorkie at 4600 vs a E8400 at 4500 mhz = ??????????

    Try 930 core and 999 memory. then maybe 9x500 or 10x 450 ?
That will give us a great indication on how much difference there is in 3dmark06 betwean the E8Xxx series and the QX9Xxx series

The powercolor is the cheapest in the UK, seems to be a great deal.

Quick question: ATI has an equivalent to "digital vibrance" in the 3870 correct? What is it called?

    Thanks!

    Hi guys

Been a long time away from benching for me indeed. I've got an E8400 benching 4.4GHz on water right now while I flog a Sapphire 3800x2.

Heres my issue: I am on Vista 32 bit at the moment testing and I had success with typing in the speeds as indicated in the first post, hitting enter and having them stick as indicated in GPUz.

What I'm bothered by is down in the Crossfire box at the bottomof GPUz it indicates disabled rather than 2 gpu's. I'm within a couple thousand points of the 1st post scores(at stock 3800x2 speeds) so it seems its working?? I'm not sure at all....could be if its not working I'm just tweaked good enough on the Formula Maximus

Have any of you running Vista seen this issue of it indicating Crossfire as disabled and not being able to enable it ? Am I missing something here? I'm on the 8.1 catalysts also.

I guess I'll set up an XP partition later on and see if all is well in a WinXP environment, if not it might be a card issue.

    Any insight is indeed appreciated!

    Randi
