Wonderfull.. i love your case :d
Go on... came on.. please i need more photos. jejeje
iMac 24''
BNDMOD @ Cruz Alta (Cba.) Argentina
Time for updates!
The following pix of the case has everything installed. The only thing missing is the 8600GT because im still waiting for an adapter plate for its water block. Of course, all the tubing are missing... but besides those 2, everything else should be ready to go!
2 loops, 2 different color tubings
heres the top grill drilled out for the radiator
more to come soon...
In artistic terms very nice mod for the turbofan
As for the gains... I'll keep open minded I have been down that route of stacking fans (old skool overclocking) but with air gap between each fan, 1st allows 2nd fan to spin better however 2nd is limited by airflow of 1st so air gap allows 2nd fan to suck in the extra air and thus spin faster than the 1st.
This was like 1999/2000 your only talking a gap of 3 to 5 mill between each fan not nice on the ears though with Screaming Delta fans
Used to have access to an airflow meter at work, but its that long ago I don't think I have any of that on my HD anymore, pretty much think any postings on the net at my old haunts will have been purged into history.
But work well done does look cool and I think that matters more

New specs to appear here >.< sometime soon.
in the mean time i'm using me shuttle
tis fast enough for now.....
<doh in me dream tis slow> no vmod / no PSU mods / no phasechange how can it be fast
so.. if i remove the 2 fans that are stacking, i wont lose any performance and the system will be quieter?
If your refering to the Rad setup in the pics I would personally lose the double fan setup and keep it as 4 suck through fans on the outer side as currently.
My reasoning behind that is in a suck through setup there is a more even airflow through the radiator core (Less air flow) but hitting more of the rad fins with air)
A blow through causes a dead zone in the centre part of each fan as the force of the air is greater on the outer edges of the fan blades and less moving inwards until the central cap that's not doing anything.
hope the attachment is understandable... very crude quick PS draw. 1st top bit blow through 2nd lower bit suck through.

wait, you put all that time and money into pimping out your case and watercooling etc, but you have an e6550? Sorry dude, but that's not going to get you near the potential your rig has, either a q6600 or e6850 would have been a better choice.
Awesome progress on the case though, its so neat, you don't see any cables anywhere, a definite plus, some of the pro ocers could take note from the guys like you. What does the lcd poster do? Just report temps or does it control things too?
Wow, excellent job! Looks very clean!
wow nice rig and awesome desk!!!! what are you using for the red backlight??
i like it... i would of invested in a better proc but thats just me...
also are you using the same res for both loops??? (if so you dumping each others heat in the the loops )
Awesome setup overall though i love the three monitor setup (where did you get that wallpaper?)
only 1 hard drive? how are the temps with hd with wc... also what ram blocks is that?
Super clean workstation!
Alig:
i could sure use a quad core, that will be an easy upgrade down the road (i couldnt afford one now if i wanted to)... however, my cpu is running faster than a e6850, its at 3.3Ghz
the lcd displays info only, its fully customizable so its nice: temps, fans, winamp, fraps, speedfan, rivatuner, system specs, and more that i dont have off the top of my head... sadly, it doesnt control anything
disruptfarm
yeah, im sharing a tank between both loops, makes it easier to fill/bleed
the red backlight are LED strips that is pluged into a ac/dc transformer

if the first fan started off at a low voltage and moved up in speed, prolly the air would gain momentum and add up to 100cfm at 40db? idonno, just a theory. look sexy though
