hey guys bump
it seems this board is just as good as those magic P5E3 Premium boards with the premium bios
the downside is that there is no voltage jumper on these so there is a considerable CPU voltage drop once board is flashed the P5E3 Premium bios
hence the need for mods plus OVP mod
as things stand right now the only possibility of OVP mod is charles' complex and rather impractical mod.........any thoughts on what we know so far and how we could bypass OVP?

I'm not positive, looking at persivores mod the vcore is using the same resistors as Charles complex mod which removes ovp, only replaces the 1.5/2k ohm vr with a 50k, so if I'm thinking right, leave the 50k in place, do all the other mods Charles listed and hopefully it'll remove ovp, I've got a deluxe coming soon, so I may try it out, any thoughts?

have you tried to remove OVP
i am thinking of modding my new P5E3 DLX for some E8600 benchmarks
let us know

P5e3 dlx @ prem is definitely best buy if you look for ddr3 s775 and don't wanna pay the price of a rampage. The downside is that at a specific point, you will be fsb limited. Something around ~610 for 3d benches and ~620 for 1m.
i had both, p5e3 dlx @ prem and a real prem. the real prem is slightly better concerning the fsb and you need a little less vnb and vfsb.
If you wanna 630+ 3d, the only choice is a rampage atm

have you tried subzero on NB
sometimes you can gain up to 40MHz FSB out of it
youngpro i think did that on his Rex to gain so much
anyways regardless of that OVP would be good to resolve
actually since you have both boards
can you take some details photos of the two boards particularly around the OVP/voltage switch which enables you to select high vcore on Premium boards

Just Bumping this thread up. Did anybody solved OVP issue? I would be glad to have that mod.
