With my E6750 max FSB was 550, but all voltages were at the highest value.

kadir_slayer, above the first PCIx16 slot.

search your max FSB with :

    vnb 1,55v
    vfsb 1,4v
    vpll 1,8v

then put the voltage on auto and try at the same FSB!
    enter in windows!

    then put at:

    vnb 1,4v
    vfsb 1,3v
    vpll 1,6v
    enter in windows!

This dude is telling the truth!!!!

mine was 4 hours orthos stable at
    vPLL:auto
    vFSB:1.20

and it gave and error at
    vPLL:1.60
    cFSB:1.30

    now I'm trying at
    vPLL:1.60
    vFSB:1.20

If it gives an error I will try at
    vPLL:auto
    vFSB:1.30

It's not recomended leaving voltages on auto when overclocking, they might not be enough for a specific FSB or they could go very high witch might be more than enough for a certain FSB freq.

Oh, now wait a second, why should I find max FSB with
    vnb 1,55v
    vfsb 1,4v
    vpll 1,8v
and then try the same FSB freq with lower volts?
    It doesn't make sense.

I think I have to be more clear. Why should I try finding max FSB with
    Code:
    vnb 1,55v
    vfsb 1,4v
    vpll 1,8v
and then try the same FSB with
    Code:
    vnb 1,4v
    vfsb 1,3v
    vpll 1,6v
I think this is what I have to test:
    Max FSB with
    Code:
    vnb 1,55v
    vfsb 1,4v
    vpll 1,8v
    and same FSB with
    Code:
    vnb 1,25v
    vfsb 1,2v
    vpll 1.5v
Witch I did. I found max FSB at 527, and then tried the same FSB with vnb 1,25v vfsb 1,2v vpll 1.5v.
    BarboneNet said that for:
    vnb 1.25v bios - 1.55v real
    vsfb 1.2v bios - 1.4v real
vpll 1.5v bios - 1.8v real. This didn't happend to me because I couldn't boot at FSB 527 with the minimal values.

He is right about the over-volting. As soon as I changed those voltages from AUTO to the second lowest setting, it was reflected in VIN1 and VIN3 in Hardware Monitor. Thanks for the heads up buddy, I just got the E8400 and this motherboard last week, and I would not want to run such high voltages with a 45nm CPU.

Does someone have rev.1.00g of the board and know if there is a V bug for this rev. too?

All you guys worried about voltage... Good grief go join grandma's needle pointers and overclockers forums. They are Xtreme Quilters though.
My 8400 has not seen less than 1.488 since day one. The first time it fired up it was at 500 fsb and 1.6 in the bios. Which turned out to be the 1.488.
It can take it just fine!!! I have punished it for days on end at over 1.6 volts.
I have Xtreme Air cooling that keeps me under 50C no matter what I do.
My northbridge receives the same Xtre3me cooling as does my memory
slap those processors boys, show'em whose boss!!

Check out the volts on this run!

I have since clobbered that score but none the less the volts are the big thing here!!

bios 1004 and 1006 very bad

    CPU : 1.4v (bios) => 1.375v (idle) => 1.3v (prime95)

    1006 same too

1004 and 1006 are better than any other bios to date.

I can set my Q6600 @ 3465mhz at 1.30v in bios which comes to 1.27v idle in windows.
Under full load voltage does not fluctate at all with the line load calibration enabled. Voltage stays at 1.27v.

I agree some people are a bit too paranoid..

As for BIOS 1004 and 1006, I have mixed impressions.

    With 0906 I could run 4Ghz @ 1.352V Stable, 4.2 @ 1.49V, so I run 4ghz 24/7.

    With 1004/1006 I need ~1.4V for 4ghz, 1.48V for 4.2, so I run 4.2 24/7 now.

Doesn't that just mean that the voltage wasn't always displayed correctly?

No, it actually needs more now for 4Ghz, and temps are higher because of it.
