    Does it sound like its rattling? If so you have air in your loop. Even the noisiest of pumps only really hum.

    It's not rattling. It's a loud hum... I heard what the sound of air was like when I was bleeding.

    u sure its not the pump rattling against the steel of your case? try putting it on something really soft like some rolled up toilet paper and go sit at your chair again. do you still hear it just like before?

    Do you have it hard mounted? Or did you use the 2 sided tape. It sounds like you are getting vibration through the case which will cause it to resonate. I have 2 655s and they are near silent with the case closed.

    Yeah. At setting 1, mine is inaudible.

    It's the vibrations vibrating my case :S Though if I hold it in my hand I can still hear it... :S I hear it too well if I turn it up a bit. I've mounted it with the pad it came with and 2 velcro strips. Not with the bolts. I want to suspend it somehow. I have enough rubber bands as I misread the info when I purchased 8 rubber bands... x3... =) MY HDD bay is empty, so i might try to suspend it there somehow.

    I have had/have both MCP655 and MCP350 and have been pleased with both of them, silence and reliable! Now Im expanding my loop with GPU block and wondering shall i put them both in the loop, in series!
    In other words:
    2* Swiftech GTZ -> EK Water Blocks EK-FC295 GTX SLI -> 2*140mm Black Ice GT Stealth half passive -> Mo-Ra 2 passive -> DangerDen 5,25" Dual Bay Reservoir -> MCP655 + MCP350 -> 2* GTZ:s...
    Is there any sanity in that? And what is the order 655 -> 350 -> CPUs or 350 -> 655 -> CPUs???

    Never run different pump in the same loop. The stronger one will try to force the weaker one to run faster than it's designed to, drawing more current and possibly burning it out. Mind you, this is all theory but it is a theory that has been agreed upon by more than a few members as we're just too scared to test it and waste a perfectly good pump.

    Oh! Good to know! So, is that 655 strong enough to that loop? (2* GTZ -> EK-FC295 -> 2*140mm BI GT Stealth -> Mo-Ra 2 -> DangerDen 5,25" Dual Bay Reservoir -> MCP655 -> 2* GTZ:s...) I have heard that mora is guite flow killer. Or is´t better build two separate loop with one reservoir, or even totally separate loops?

    2* GTZ -> Mo-Ra 2 -> DangerDen 5,25" ONE Bay Reservoir -> MCP655 -> 2* GTZ:s...)
    EK-FC295 -> 2*140mm BI GT Stealth -> DangerDen 5,25" ONE Bay Reservoir -> MCP350 -> EK-FC295...)

    NO! F**k it. I try that! Think if one pump is lifting water from lake to up in mountain to reservoir (barely), and then there is small pump with is pumping that same water from res. to one meter up and then the water is falling down back to lake??? That would work! And i think, my loop is so flow killing, that both of the pumps must work 100% load and the water isnt still flowting smoothly..

    Which pump would be better for LC based on single waterblock CPU (Swiftech Apogee GTZ i7 > Feser xChanger Triple rad , 3/8" tubing ) ?? Thanx for making better choice .

    PS. Maybe soon I would like to add block for my Classified mb .

    655 is awesome. But vibrates a lot if the frame is in any kind of pressure, as in screwed to the case or even with just the sticky foam underneath. Its like a whistle.

    But if you grab the tubes and let the pump just "hang" suspended, it becomes inaudible even at speed 5. Its one of two problems I have to fix in my new build.
    Maybe I'll cut the tubes short so it hangs that way, with a wire or two just to keep her from bouncing around.

    Sorry,

    everybody blame NaeKuh

    This thread must be the most bumped old thread here in the WC section, lol

    So, with regards to my loop, I am guessing a MCP355 with custom top will not gain me anything.

    Anyone care to comment

    You're only running CPU and chipset according to your sig. I seriously doubt you'll 'need' a MCP355 .

    The Bitspower top is a bit overpriced, IMO. You could get the Koolance top which is more or less the same, and only $40. So you end up paying ~$110 for pump and top, both.

    The Bitspower top for the D5 is also $40.00. FYI..

    DDC's get a boost from the tops.
    The D5 is what is shown to get little benifits from a top.

    Could you please back up your statement? In what way? Head? pump-only flow? Low-restriction loop? High-restriction loop? Noise? Reliability?

    While the 355 has a lower flow rate then the D5, it has more & head quieter too... Martin has a good test some where i cant seem to find it!
