    X-Fi Elite Pro & Vista x64

I just got myself a Creative X-Fi Elite Pro and installed the card on my computer. All went fine and it works great, but when I hooked the external I/O console in it wouldent work. No light and no life in it what so ever.
Reinstalled the drivers from Creativs website, but still no life in it.

I did a quick search in creativs forum and found one person with the same problem but no reply on a solution.

Anyone here on XS that has this exact combo? Working?!?

I might try installing XP on a separate drive and try it again.

I have Vista 64 and the Elite pro working. I'd try reinstalling but make sure the external box is hooked up at the time you install.

Since mine worked from Vista install back at release I don't remember tons to help you atm.

    Thanks for the fast reply!
I see, you have it working without problems.
When I get home from work Im going to try do delete everything from creative and take the card out agian, and then reinstalling the whole thing.

Or did you mean reinstall Vista? That just takes ALOT of time, but if it will solve the problem I dont have much of a choise.

    Thanks!

I have X-FI Fatal1ty with the breakout box working just fine in Vista64. Just uninstall all the Creative drivers and apps, make sure the breakout box is hooked up, get the latest drivers-only from Creative and install them. I learned long ago to never install there POS apps -- pure junk.
