    Exclamation PLEASE Help Me With My Overclock

    My rig is in my sig, (BFG 680i [not sure what the rev. number is], Q6600 G0 Stepping Batch #729A) i am unable to finish loading windows over 2.7gig, I can boot using the following voltages, temps max out at 65 under load

    QDR FSB 1200
    Mem 800@3-3-3-8
    HT Multi 5x/5x

    Vcore 1.45
    VFSB 1.5
    VMem 2.2
    SPP Auto
    MCP Auto
    SPP <-> MCP 1.55

    It is stable as a rock at these settings. Im using windows Vista x64. I can load windows at 1225 FSB, but i get a System_Service_Exception BSOD if i try to do anything. Up to 100 FSB over this windows will start loading but crash before it finishes, anything over 1333 and i get a BSOD before windows starts loading. I've done the Vdrop mod. I've changed the TIM on the mosfets (awaiting ramsinks for the two at the top that are uncovered by the mosfet heatsink), i have a fan about 2 inches away from the mosfets, im watercooling the NB, an evercool VC-RE on the SB, While changing the SB heatsink i noticed that i have the 590 chipset, could this have something to do with my problem? I have tried dropping my multiplier, i have tried using Linked/Synced memory settings, i have tried Unlinked running my memory at 850@4-4-4-12 2T i have even tried using 2x 1gig sticks all to no avail. What am i doing wrong? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

    have a search here, in hardforum and ocforum and you'll read the MANY horror stories about 680i-based board. and it seems these boards are quad-core unfriendly

    That is true, but i have also read about many people being able to clock over 3 gig on quad cores on these boards, i guess im just one of the unlucky ones
