Been playing around with board allday with a Phenom 9600 and have got to admit amd have done a great job! The board chipset is amazing very fast and the cpu are ok! I dont see much difference between a phenom clocked at 2.4 and a Q6600! I prefer the amd!

Have found a error in 701 bios i can boot with 0.8 cpu vcore and 0.8 nb vcore and when you go into windows its say on cpu-z and amd overdrive that its at 1.25 so the voltage on the 701 bios arent working right!

701 isn't working with AMD Overdrive for me

When I make any adjustment with AOD the computer locks up and then there an awful noise come through the speakers

It even caused my USB KVM to lock up once

Seems they broke more then they fixed with this bios

    His 3870XT Crossfire/Asus M3A32-MVP

Be good idea or not worth hastle?

Can i put Crossfire in First and last PCI-E slot and still get 16X on each with bios options?...

Anything I would say is biased, spent the last two weeks working with ASUS on it... but it is the first and only BIOS I would use on the board.

It's not like it imperative not to be biased What does it do? What does it fix, What does it enable… does it make this ASUS mobo overclock friendly… etc…

    Bad news
701 and my USB KVM has borked my use of AMD Overdrive for some reason. Any adjustment with AOD causes lock up and noise out the speakers even with 704.

    704 Awesome
    Thanks bingo13

    WOW

Figuring the board going to be RMA'ed because of the problem above I went nuts with ref clock

    with 603 I couldn't get above 237
first shot 240 with CPU-10.5x NB-8x HT-8x and it booted no problem
    Cool but not high enough

Second shot more throttle this time
    ref clock 252
    CPU 11x
    NB 8x
    HT 8x
    Crank the Voltages
    CPU 1.325
    HT 1.4
    NB 1.1625

Shocked me when it booted and made to desktop
    2772 MHz
I nervously ran a few benchies
    SuperPI 28.062 sec.
    3DMark06 14044
    Lightsmark 133 fps

One thing I kept forgetting to check is the temps at full load
The Zalman 9700 seems to have it under control (for now)

Now I want to steal the water kit off my Q6600 to push it farther

    Very nice!
Phenom is getting tempting! Trying to hold out for the BE.
Good to see the HTT going up.

Does the 704 BIOS work with X2's or is it just for Phenom?

    - Changing of Trc and Tras still does not work with 0704 here.

    - PC shuts down everytime you change anything in bios. Even if you do not change something, just going into it and leaving without any modification, system shuts down too.. That sucks hard! Can't see any reason for this. Never had any problems before, without that "feature". I know that to good from my core 2 duo systems based on Asus mainboards.

Nothing good i can tell about that bios for the moment. Second point is a great regression imho.

    (I'm a X2 user.)
