Such a large spread in temps for Q6600 normal?

    I have a G0 Q6600 and the first 2 cores run 5 to 10 degrees warmer than cores 3 & 4.

I realize that all 4 cores will never all run at the exact same temp, but this seems like an awfully large difference.

    Thanks!

there is a thread on in watercooling about how to mount a block for more even temps. would prob work on a screw-down HSF though not the stock crap push-down.

My coretemp and everest etc readings show similar results even though the temps are wrong because I'm on phase and it can't read that low. Sometimes this can be caused by a crooked mount, but I have checked 3 times to see that mine was flat. I've seen that some are closer than others. Check just to be sure, that you have full coverage on your sink.
