ToyTen, wanna share your tweaks?
Your sub 11 minutes is very good, tried to beat it but couldn't touch it.
When i tried to beat your sub 11 minutes my runs were always faster in the first 4 loops but i couldn't keep up after that.
Did 11 min 01.203 sec. at 3997MHz but couldn't get below 11 minutes.
Your 9 minutes 31 sec isn't that good though, i did the same time at 4799MHz.

Thank you Zeus.
As I am new to Spi32m and Windows tweaking, I will leave to your appreciation what I do to achieve that score, but hey, honnestly I doubt it will help you as there are some things I don't know my self about waza copy. Still learning (Did I got the luck of the beginner ? 'don't know because I can repeat this score many times but, ok...)
Here you go:
About what's not on my screenshots, in this right order I did:
1/ triple defrag,
2/ screen resolution: doesn't matter i did 10mn56s641 with 800/600 and did 10mn56s296 with 1280/960
3/ Start menu->msconfig->BOOT.ini: maxmem=600 - nail services: fire everything but 3 of them: gestionnaire de disques logiques / systèmes d'évènements de COM+ (english translation to these 2 points =?) / themes
then nail general: leave only the charging of system services alone, uncheck the rest quit msconfig and restart computer.
4/ reboot @ 550 ( @ 449: no go it reboots when I accept 571,9 in Setfsb and booting @ 572 was worst ),
5/ setfsb->571,9,
6/ RAM tweaking with memset,
7/ opening spi_mod and reducing it at minimum window size,
8/ opening OCX SpiTweakerv1.0.6-> 3472 MB @ 1st line/ 35 sleep.
9/ task manager-> killing explorer, real time priority for spi_mod, task manager closure.
10/ starting copy waza it self
11/ 35sec. later I start my 32m super pi with ~32Mo allocated memory and cross my fingers.
This is also done on a very windows installation.
I hope I can improve again this score by learnig more about the process of copy wasa as the log I used does it on its own.
Hoping it helps

isn't there here nobody speaking french ?
I have a question about the Z:\ drive? is that part of the ERAM process ? How can I do that ?
I see lots of poeple using it so no doubt it will help me improvig my 32m's
I saw the video of 3oh6 but it goes about CW isn't it ? or I might have misunderstood the explanation.
Thx in advnance if you are keen on helping me.
DiKKeneK fan !!
Yes Z: drive is part of eram.
Eram has nothing to do with copy waza, it's just a ramdisk you create, the explaination is in 30h6' video.
Basically you have to download eram, unzip it, open the NT folder, rightclick the icon you see there en press install.
Then you have to reboot, go to control panel, you see an eram icon there, you have to set parameters like in that video, set maxmem and reboot.
You will find it created a Z: drive, extract your superpi folder to the Z; drive and do your copy waza to the Z:drive.
I have to say eram didn't gain me anything.
Hope that helps.

Thank you Zeus, I'll return to that video of him and give it a try.
Cheers

Just testing this ASUS Rampage Extreme and it seems OK till now...
Northbridge cooling a Swiftech heatsink (a very old one) with a DELTA fan 4 x 4cm on it, working at 55*C....
....and yes the VCore IS that low and without a heatsink on the CPU....Only the LN2 pot on it at ~39*C...
PL = 8....

updated the list gents...but i didn't add the times less than X.50.XXX because they have no bearing on the point of this thread.
remember, you are shooting for the lowest CPU clock in a specific time zone, not the best time for a specific clock
looks like i am going to have to work my RE over a bit more with you cats running 600FSB tRD8
And even still...you're just as fast as them.
Goodness knows how slick you'd end up at PL8 and a run that's not "definitely not optimal"
looking at sascha's post you'll need to run 1.76vNB
looking good fellas Trd8 at 600 is pretty sweet and P35 seemed to be the only chipset capable of it hehehe
yeah, i am back on the heat pipe attachment while i figure out a way to get the MCW30 mounted directly to the
X48 IHS...i don't see 600 tRD8 happening until i am back on water. the most impressive fact is that they are doing this
on 5:8 which is even that much more stress on the NB. i am sure if they lower clocks for a 9m 59.xxx time, they
would have my 3574MHz beat at those settings.
I've had my MCW30 mounted to every X48 board I've had and the rampage is no exception. What's the issue??
And as for the efficiency sacha is a bit ahead of you, but you're still neck in neck with hipro.
Hmm...I guess I am bending the screws a little... (sorry this is the best I can do for a pic...feels embarrassing posting it below yours but at least mine has it mounted up ) Temperatures never cross 38C, even with 1.86v mch.
screw it, that is good enough for me. i will take the plastic spacers off and get to it i guess. thanks
for the photo, and don't feel bad, i'm using a camera...your using a phone and it did the trick
but you gave your secret away, yours is an engineering sample...mine is just a lowly retail sample
I did make it clear earlier that this board came directly from Asus...I thought??
Funny thing is I always had a feeling that there was a little bit of strain in mounting the wb but never once did I try to line the holes up to see what's up...even looking at it right now I can't even tell that it's bent really.

meh, i never knew, just spotted the green AOI and X-Ray passing stickers...those don't make it into retail boxes.
no issue, just bugging you
and yeah, without the plastic standoffs, the bolts angle just nicely into the mounting bracket. thanks Gautam, i
knew i was just being stupid about it for some reason. seems to work just fine...
you guys can thank Gautam for me being able to run tRD8 at this FSB. now to see if i can get it to run at 610FSB
tRD8...wouldn't mind shaving 6 seconds off my 7m 46.xxx 32M time

this 32m is just... killing me
Could this be only because of the used cooling of yours/a very achieved windows tweak ? Is there a 2003 server OS and/or SSD drive at the back ?
thanks to share Volts and other things, lots appreciate
DiKKeneK fan !!
no problem, i try to provide as much information as i can in my screenshots.
as for what it takes for top rank 32M...waaaaaay more time invested than i am willing to admit. OS work, memory
timing work, copy wazza work...etc. in my other 'official' LCC entries i list everything you could want to know
so perhaps have a look through those with details on the hardware, OS, and copy wazza method.
you have also seen my copy wazza with ERAM screen cast so that about sums it all up there. that is just one of many
ways to do copy wazza. honestly, ERAM doesn't do much but provide another virtual hard drive to the
system. when i only have one drive handy i use it...if i have an extra drive within arms reach and not being
used, i just run two drives. for the above 32M time, i am simply using a slow ass Samsung 7200.9 80GB drive
and the ERAM method from my screencast. nothing special really, just a decent OS and the typical tweaks.
here is a worked OS with the exact same BIOS settings as above, good for a solid 2.5+ seconds, but the last loop
still isn't where i want it on this OS. working with 2K3 on this one...
click for full size including memset & voltages
i figure 592FSB or maybe up to 593FSB set in the BIOS should stay in 11m 59.xxx range once i can get the finish where i want it.
scary fast this is
That's more like it, 11:51 is what I was expecting from you.
10.XX
Rampage Extreme rules !
Cracking times both 3oh6 and monteboy!
Have to do some work to improve NB cooling and will try again with lower tRD, Performance Level 8 at 600FSB is just awesome, i want some of that myself!
