Thumbs up ASUS P5E stable at 550MHz FSB

Best board I ever owned. Board is in stock condition all on air, CPU on water - only did the Vdroop pencil mod.

Volts are PLL 1.50, FSB 1.30, NB 1.55, Vmem 2.38:

Sweet clocks mate , you use these 24/7 ? I hope the X38 will unleash it's true power too with the Penryn quads...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Yep, this is 24/7 - with multi 8 the chip achieves even 4Ghz at 1.44 volts.

I really hope for true power with the Penryn - I'll get my QX9650 end of this week......

Try to increase NB voltage, up to 1.55 is save. I'm using 0303 BIOS
as You can see in my screen above.

Maybe it is Your E6850 - I also used an E6850, doing 4GHz prime at 1.408 volts but had a bad FSB wall, boot up to 492 and stable in Windows only up to 488.
