Would GB 3D Galaxy 2 perform better than Ultra 120 eXtreme ?

    hi guys

would Gigabyte 3D Galaxy II liquid kit be better cooler than Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme ?

I would use Noctua Fan on either as silence is crucial.

CPU would be mild overclocked to 3.2Ghz or so ... at 1.35V

Generally the rule-of-thumb for water is to get good water or just get a high-end air cooler. I don't think the galaxy 2 is considered good water.

If you plan on using the straight-blade noctua fan that is going to hold you back by quite a bit. They have practically no pressure to push any air through any sort of restriction. A better route fan-wise would be a low speed yate or a Scythe s-flex or something like that (undervolted if necessary) to have enough pressure to push the air through.

Can be done with a good air cooler. Like said. No point to buy that garbage. If you don't know enough about water cooling to make your own loop, then you probably shouldn't be buying one of these crapola prebuilt stuff. Do a little research into water cooling and you will be rewarded
