    load on HT cpu question

    do you have to use two programs to load your cpu on say an 800fsb cpu with ht? or is one fine?

    most apps are single thread optimized, the programm is waits for one thread to finish before it starts a new thread.

    i think the most performence increasement can be seen when running multiple single thread optimized apps or of course multi thread optimized apps.

    so basically, yes.

    i use 2 so that both alu's get maxed otherwise itll sorta use 50% of both and only vary slightly between them.

    i have no idea what saaya is going on about.

    burn in on heavy puts cpu usage at 100%

    it also uses about 265 megs of ram

    my system chugs like a stoner running the mile

    for HT cpu's you should use Toast.exe two times, it uses both threads ...
