You guys know these boards have 2 individual memorycontrollers, ie two channels?

    Each memorycontroller serves two memoryslots.

Having a stick of memory in a slot of each memcontroller means you're running dual channel, having only one stick in means single channel.

Needless to say, running dual channel is much harder on the MCH (NB).

All socket 775 boards and all AMD based boards that are produced over the last 3 or 4 years i think.

You'll be hard pressed to find one that hasn't.
