QX6800 or Q6700 for 3DMark01se?

Hi guys.
Im trying to get my World Record back with a XGI Volari V8 Duo Ultra on a AsRock 4Core Dual Sata2 Motherboard + 2 gig of Geil 4-4-4-12 ram on 3DMarks 01se.
Anyway I would very much appreciate what CPU will get me higher FSB?
I,ll be running the CPU under water or Alchol cooling.
I know the QX is unlocked but the Q67 runs cooler whats best i dont know.

I think is not good section for this, but anyway with QX6800 You can easy get this what You must have. I dont think this AsRock can do more than 300FSB with quad core.

Well since i am trying for a world record i though i would post here, And this would be the best section to gather and obtain the information that i require.
Over Clocking is not easy and i really dont want to make a mistake in buying the wrong CPU before i start.
I dont want to try so damn hard only to be 2nd in the ORB list.... Due to wrong CPU or somthing.
The AsRock 4CoreDual Sata2 is the only AGP motherboard that will take a QX6800 or Q6700, So 300fsb will have to do.

The extreme edititon chip is the better choice because you remove any FSB limitation the board may have. I'm curious about your alcohol cooling setup, what is it?

Maybe chilled alcohol? Works like a charm and doesn't eat plastic like acetone

I use rubbing alchol (Used for sports) and %12 polish spirits (%90 pure Alchol).

This way Its always cold (unlike water) and runs between 10 to 16 oC under normal load.
I used a basic water cooling system from ebay (SysCooling Liquid Cooling System SP23).

Err. Unless you are evaporating off some of the alcohol there should effectively be no difference between water and alcohol in a watercooling loop. You must have your computer in a refrigerator in order to hit 10C to 16C load temperatures

Vodka and ice? Rubbing alchol is cooler then normal, No Chiller needed. When i was bench marking the X2 6000 on it i did have it copper coiled through a ice pack.

No matter what kind of alcohol it is, it can't be below ambient unless chilled. Or am I missing something??

maybe the evap effect, but you have to fill the reservoir everytime the alcohol level goes down.

Here what my V8 Duo Ultra looks like.....I was at this forum some years back asking HellFire for info on Volt moding it but backed out.
BTW Is there a Software program that can set my Ram timing? (Bios timings are crud)

I need help with 3DMark01se, So far so good.

I can beat every score mark of the World Record holder except for Car Chase High and Lobby High. Im about 10 points below on both of them.

What i would like to know is are they Influenced by a high FSB or Raming timing.
They are the only test that are setting me back from reclaiming my title.

Any help would be great!

Those are both predominantly system tests so yes, high fsb & tight ram is the way to go in addition to pure CPU clock.

I think i will have to use my QX6800 for a massive improvement. This AsRock Motherboard is gay, Cant even get it to run stable at 280mhz. Cant even set my Multi X to 11x266. Its like pushing Turd up hill with a stick. Gotta look for a volt mod or somthing in the mean time.

i just tried various volari reactor drivers i found on the internet. xgi "optimzed" a lot of their drivers back then to be faster in 3dmarks than nvidia and ati. but in the end the card was slow anyways. in reviews that was also often mentioned. lod can't be changed on that cards and if, it wouldn't matter since it's not a cheat.
there also some driver form you i tried (if you are that killbill).

if you have a better score it's ok, when can also make a friendly battle at the top, but plz stop writing such crap.

Yes i am that KillBill from (RIP)volarigamers.com and had made afew optimized drivers from the beta samples i was testing.
The cheat ala Nvidia drivers where the first two XGI reactor drivers 1.00.1 and 1.00.59.

The fastest is the WHQL, next to that is the 1.08.32(xtreme driver i made).
And i am not finished with 3DMark01se - I am still capable of higher scores.
Have to admit if it wasnt for the interview with Kingpin i would not have achived the results i got (infomation is power).

As for 3DMark 03, Im not sure on what version of windows to bench mark with. Kingpin had said WinXP pro SP2 for 01se but for 03 i have no idear.
Also Its so damn hard to Overclock this motherboard. Dont no how Turrican done it but in the end it made no diffrence but who knows.

Hitachi 500gb sata HDD. i killed the generic ram(Dynet).

i was also often in the volarigamers forums. sad it's been down for a while already. i liked your work there.
i used the volari reactor 1.08 whql driver and not 1.00.1 or 1.00.59.

you need to mod the board to get more out of it, but for this card it doesn't matter.
