The DQ6 was a good board IIRC... Have you considered a G0 step quad? They are generally better overclockers with a lower power consumption...

    Mobo: DFI UT X58 T3eH8

Looks like you are set, those Geils D9 or Promos? While you'll only need ~DDR2-977 for 4.4GHz with that Q6600, it's always nice to run with some D9 The DQ-6 looks like a decent X38 board, I've had great luck with high clocking Gigabyte boards, haven't had a dude yet, so far 2 965 DS3's that hit 500FSB on a Conroe. Seems like P35/X38 all hit 500FSB consistently though so I don't think you can get a "bad" board.

Be aware of the D9 ram, you'll kill it if you run anything over 2.2v 24/7.

EDIT: that means you'll have to run high fsb and higher volts if you want to reach 4.4

    Say what? Huh?! That's amazing.
    Under load?

All the G0 quads I've run into, but one, need 1.35 to 1.4 to go to 3.6 .

So, what RAM did you go with?
