Firefox help with bookmarks

Hello everybody,

I have a problem, whenever i reformat my laptop everything gets erased (duh), for most things I have them backed up to my external HD so its no problem. However the one thing that bothers me is the fact that I can't save my bookmarks from Firefox. So I was wondering if there is a folder that I can save prior to my re-format and then replace the new files with the saved files after my reformat? I have been trying to figure this out, but haven't come across any solid news.

I use 32bit XP Pro SP2 with Firefox.

You have 2 ways to backup your entire firefox profile:

1) MozBackup. Install this tool and it backs up all your bookmarks and most of the extensions as well.

2) Do a manual backup by copying the entire firefox profile folder @
%appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles.

Can go to bookmarks-> Organise Bookmarks-> file-> export to save them, then import when you reinstall
