    Old 3ghz xeon 2mb cache 800fsb...erm...advice?

Ripped it out of a discarded server. I have no idea about how useless this processor is. Would anyone want to buy it? Or is it only worthy of a 99pence auction on Flea Bay?

This isn't a for sale thead...well...preliminary interest topic

3000/2mb/800 xeons are still decent cpu's and make a nice machine but thr boards are expensive..server quality and thats the drawback.
I just took down a DX3600/2mb/800 machine due to elec cost..
I dropped $3445.00 on that setup in August 2005..

There are guys here that would take it off your hands and use it as a cruncher. What itr lacks in pure speed it somewhat makes up for in dependability.
Lot's of guys in the DC section here and lot in your country I'd imagine would like it. Needs more ram to be usefull but DDR2-400 ECC REG isn't that expensive anymore.
If I wasn't running 2 clovers, a Q6600 and a dual sossaman rig I'd be running my DX3600 today. Just can't handle th elec for any more rigs
