bought time they put some data about this sucker on the site. hope the rumour that it will be priced near ip35 pro is true. Still debating on this, or just waiting till ddr3 comes down in price...for the full x38/48 exp
1600FSB standard is very tempting.
any idea when we will start seeing this boards stateside? it seems some of the vendors pushed stuff back for the ddr3 boards till early nov=[ HOpe this guy comes out in the next couple of weeks

I am getting this as soon as it's out, but I always swap out the heatpipe for active coolers (watercool my cpu and mount the board inverted in a Lian-Li V2000 case, so the heatpipe is no good). I think it might be a bit difficult to find a norhtbridge cooler that will mount using the existing 4 holes, or at least two of them.. This could really suck.
Oh well, I'm going to get it anyway, I'll just have to figure it out.

Agree ... the amount of vDroop under a Quad will be good to know. The Abit IP35-Pro is an excellent board and easy on its key components when OC'ing

i don't like the digital PWM...it was a problem with keeping digital PWM's cooled (when P95'ing) on the AB9 QuadGT board when using a Quad core....it might be ok for a dual core.

Is it already out? Ace-a-Rue Quad-Core performance is vital for a X38, if it can´t deliver, it wont sell...

I like Abit a LOT abd I was set to do the same thing until I realized the Asus Maximus Formula SE comes with heatpipe-WC cascade cooling - unless IX38 QuadGT comes for a LOT cheaper (ie $50-60) it doesn't make too mauch sense to waste time an energy with buying and mounting custom blocks, I think.
I'm not sure I like the hole spacing for the NB. It doesn't look like my EK NB4-Intel block would fit, so someone would have to make a block exclusively for this board.
EDIT: it looks like the IX38 Max is using the same spacing.

That was one of my main concerns when i saw this board on Abit's site today.
However i saw that they refer to it as a NEW Revision. So i hope it doesn't have this prob.
One of my main concerns also is the placement of the heatpipe next to the mem slots. It'll probably block an aftermarket mem cooler.

i don't know what you guys are worried/shocked about since its just the outline/traces of a molex, not a physical molex and if you put the IP35 Pro and X38 QuadGT together side by side. it is basically the same pcb layout.

so ive narrowed it down to 3 choices, ABIT, DFI, MSI for an X38 board, decisions decisions.
Abit - 2 broken
DFI - 1 broken
MSI - havent tried
