    Arrow Tons of New Infos about 8800GT

    8800GT has 112SP:

    So sorry that our yesterday's news have make some mistakes. Now we are sure that the upcoming 8800GT in the late Oct will only have 112SP version. And it is the downsteam manufactor's decision to producce 256 or 512MB 8800GT. It is said that the final version may have those green stock cooler(the ref. version is black.)

    8800GT frequency comfirmed:

    8800GS,8800GT,8800GTS all uses 65nm G92 GPU, the difference is the SP number. What's more,we are now sure the 8800GT frequency is 600MHz/1800MHz/1500MHz (core/memory/shader).the prize is between 199~249 USD.

    Documents didn't say anything about DX10.1:

    So many people are concerning about the DX10.1 support issue. But it is said that the offical document did not mention anything about DX10.1,just saying "Full Microsoft® DirectX® 10 Support" .But we are sure that AMD are preparing more..

    Some result leak in the web:

    The websiteMobile01 said that 8800GT @ Q6600 can hit a really good score: 3DMark03: 35351/ 3DMark05: 14679

    So it is almost all we've got. remember that the release date is Oct.29th.

    ================================================== ============================

    like it's expected, the core is smaller.(8800GTS is 42.5X42.5)

    And it seems that NV will only have some different graphic memory size versions of G92.

    the speed600/900MHz is a bit higher then the typical 8800GTX.

    either way, its still better then the 8600 GTS.

    128 bit cards need to go away finally.
    they hardly qualify for mid range gaming for much more then a few months these days. horrible investments.

    No SP numbers => nothing interesting.

    I was really excited seeing this topic and then when I check it out it contains only the same old stuff we've known about before.

    Hopefully core clock allows for a nice overclock on 65nm considering it's a rather low 600MHz.

    Errr... This is supposed to be SLOWER than 8800GTS.
    -> 64 SPs.

    That would be the dimensions for the GPU FCPGA package, not the core.

    Nvidia G92 GPU launch brought forward

    Digitimes

    Nvidia is bringing forward the launch date of its upcoming GeForce 8800 GT (G92) GPU to October 29 from the original November 12, targeting AMD's new Radeon HD 2950PRO (RV670) as the major competitor, according to sources at graphics card makers.

    With G92 and RV670 having a tight performance/price ratio, Nvidia's earlier launch should give the company an advantage in the market, noted the sources.

    In addition to G92, Nvidia will also launch the G98 GPU to replace the GeForce 8600 series, however the launch date has not yet been set, added the sources.

    780i = 680i + A extra ( external ) PCI Express 2.0 controller chip.

    Not a real upgrade I must say

    96 SPs at 1.2 GHz as far as I know

    EDIT:
    Some say 112 though, but I believe that's the new GTS.
