Hi guys! I'm getting a P5E from friend and it has stock thermal paste on nb and sb, do you think that i should change that to mx2? Is it hard to get that heatsink thingy off of the board?

Hi guys
Just a quick question on behalf of a relative who got some DDR2 1066Mhz for Christmas.
They are running a P5E and have been quite happily for a long while, they upgraded from 2GB of DDR2 800 to 4GB of Kingston HyperX 1066Mhz DDR2.
I installed the RAM for them, but cannot pass memtest @ 1066Mhz using the rated Voltage and timings
I even slackened off the tRFC to 60CLKS and 65 and set the Command Rate to 2T
Next step was to flash the BIOS to the latest version, still no joy
The Kingston HyperX RAM runs fine at DDR2 800 (can even drop the Voltage from it's specified 2.2V to 1.9V)
Any ideas?
Thanks
John
