well it seems my DFI LP T2R is dead, i need to purchase a new board while i wait for the long RMA process, i can't get another dfi as my supplier wont have stock for atleast 2 weeks, what do you guys think i should buy? i've had a little look at the gigabyte x38 but seems to have too many problems....

Get something cheap while you wait. Go for what I have, a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, overclock is pretty decent. Some problems are: Lack of Firewire, RAID controller. But it is so far a decent board.
