    yeah no doubt places will have them on offer to undercut the opposition over the next few weeks, i stll cant find a performance comparison against a p35 for a pair of 2900xt's i would really like to see what the extra bandwidth provides otherwise i would probably just go with a cheaper p35.

    gigabyte lays down some serious bidness when it comes to motherboards, their the only motherboard manufacturer ive ever seen with such high quality standards, i had trouble with my DS3 rev3.3 when i bought it back in january which is what makes me hesitant to make the plunge again, but when i see more of the other boards, ill know for sure.

    i dont think its whort it, i have waited for the c2 revision of the 965 back in the days and it wasn't that batter compared to the "old" c1
    maybe only for extreme ocer...

    if this chipset does 450-500mhz, im fine.

    but i'll wait for ddr3 mobos anyway, im not interested in the ddr2 boards

    P35 and X38 are 2 completely different sets of production masks.
    P35 = BearlakeB (currently A-0 stepping)
    X38 = BearlakeC (currently A-0 stepping, but there's a B-0 that will be taping out soon)

    I'm speculating now, but I believe that X48 will be mostly composed of B-0.

    Rumor. The skulltrail is the only intel platform that will be recieving sli, but that is due to an nvidia chip on the motherboard.

    Let's see, $285 and sum-bee-yotch comes with a frackin Realtec NIC? For that Price I'd expect at least an Intel GbE Pro of some kind, geesh folks I think we're starting to lower out standards too much. But that's just me. BTW, does this thing have more than two fan headers?

    Please note, as my sig shows, I like Gigabyte motherboards but this is a little silly too me! No thanks Gigabyte.

    For that we should thank BOTH (AMD and Intel) companies!
