good for you..... this bench and the others like it dont support crossfire or crossfire doesnt support the bench and i cant be bothered to take one card out of my system to keep the other cooler so it looks like your no1 lol....

my card hit 110 celcius during the bench :O
yeah
yeah i was getting around 90-95%. i've got a problem getting vista to install ccc7.9 atm so i'm stuck reading all the crap on the net possible so i can troubleshoot which vista setting is causing the problem. nightmare .....

16902...best i can get so far. Just started playing with this benchmark.
Some good news about the benchie: the author is rather keen to produce an updated version with more dynamic lights and more complex mesh in the near future, so stay tuned.
Severance can you update your post with in the right format and ill put you in m8 thanks
fellix_bg kool if you find eney more out let me no and ill close this one and use the new one thanks

gonna have a benching session in the morning if its cold enough... should be fun.... i'm gonna have to try beat the top score here aswell....
Severance= 17937 pts HD2900XT [d] x 18k in reach now. swapped the quad for x6800 xtreme....P5k for p5wdh deluxe and using Xp not vista gave me 1000pts increase. one of my sapphire cards will only run 900\1000 the other runs 910\1000. Any body know why clocks die if memory clocked higher then 1000? Im sure memory can do more but performance drops over 1000mhz.

interesting question about the memory, if you run the ddr3 @ clocks which are too high for the timings the memory performance will degrade. if we could change the timings we would be able to push the memory further. if only we had the bios editor...which tools are you using to overclock... i still have a hard time getting atitool to up the clocks.... too warm today to bench but the cold weather is coming....

Ati tool works for me but does not allow me to overclock as high when using amdgpu tool. So i then tried using atitool to crank fan speed full and amdgpu tool to overclock and got aroung 17600. So my last resort was to hard wire the 2900xt fan to power running at full speed and using amdgpu tool to overclock was my best result. I believe that the latency of the ram changes over 1000mhz prolly why performance drops. 975 chipset with ram running at 1100mhz still owns.

the card loosens the timings massively over 1000mhz
by the way it really was warm the other day and i still felt like benching and now i'm seeing artifacts in my games ....oooopppps lol.... looks like one of the cards is on its way out(or both)... oh well before i send it in for repair i'll just give it some real aggro and see just what it can do on air lol.... just need to see if i still rma the card to the retailer first.... my warrenty might of run out with them.

my cards are both from the same batch and it looks like they are not good clockers. tried pushing them but they need too many volts just to run the bench and when they do run they artifact like crazy. this was in single mode swapping the cards over... anyone else seeing artifacts with these cards WITH GPU at 2.2 vcore....
Last edited by purecain; 09-17-2007 at 11:52 AM.
1.5 is their 3d clock default vcore. i had it up to 2.75 at one stage.... silly me...lol no the cards can take it, its just some gpu's are not good clockers.
atitool works fine for me now aswell, i reinstalled it and havnt had a problem since....
