The story line is compelling. Shades of gray instead of pure good and evil make choices a lot more interesting.

Reminds me of a cross between Fable and Diablo II.

Makes me think of a cooler version of Oblivion. I wish there was a demo of some sort so I could figure out if it's worth buying or not.

Damn I went ahead and bought this game and apparently there are a lot technical issues with it.
I'm stuck at the beginning of the game where i'm supposed to initiate my first dialog. After the fight scene, an NPC asks me "How do you feel?" but there is no option appears to pick from. No mouse cursor, no key response nothing! The game just sits there.
Here's the SS I took so you can see it yourselves. Am I doing something wrong? I tried a different mouse with no luck.

OS: Windows XP-SP2  32bit, all drivers are up-to-date. I'm having absolutely zero problems with all the other games I'm currently playing (CoH-OP, Crysis Demo, Portal, TF2, HL2-EP2, STALKER etc, etc).

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

make sure to get the 113 MB patch (dont download from official, search for mirrors, the official source is slow as hell).

the game apparently has mostly issues with vista, works fine on xp.

just make sure you watch the time in rl... or you'll spend all night playing

I already got the patches teh moment they're available. I'll reinstall it and try like that.

EDIT: Reinstalling worked. Just installed the game and the patch into the default directory.

I just started playing it yesterday, but so far enemy AI has been a bit lacking. For example, ill get surrounded by a bunch of enemies, though only one is attacking me while I just slice through them one at a time.

Also seems very rock-paper-scissors ish with the types of enemies and the stance you choose. If you choose an incorrect stance, it seems ridiculously difficult to kill something......though that is probably intended (like "fast" enemies can dodge your slow swings in your heavy stance)

I havnt gotten a shield yet, but I hope that dodging+blocking is more of a neccissity. Maybe they will patch the AI soon, but so far I am enjoying the game
