Thanks... I actually thought the MasterKleer was clearest, it just doesn't stay that way for long. It turns out, after a week of use the duralene isn't all that clear either (using Pentosin and distilled)... so I don't know what to recommend for remaining clear.

BTW, I'm working on compiling a list of tubing for a follow-up review. So far I'm looking at the silver anti-bacterial tubing, some Clearflex, and perhaps I'll try to find some Tygon B-44-3... where can I find that?

That McMasters info has good bend radius data on each Tygon type too.

Yes, Ranker did us a favor there. Not the easiest to source but seems the best choice currently.

Revival - hey, no shock paddles necessary

Most of these tubes are PVC or PVC-based.
What's the general opinion on thick-walled silicone tubing? More elastic, easier
to bend with probably a lower radius and is easier to find than some of these
exotic tubes; not as clear though. Any reasons against them?
    Thanks.

Could you do a metric version too? 8/6mm, 10/8mm?

You should note that you can only use thin-wall 1/2" tubing with their 1/2" compression fittings. You can also use 7/16" ID - 5/8" OD but it fits so snugly it will be frustrating and possibly damaging to get tightened or untightened. I really recommend 1/16" wall thickness tubing with Koolance 1/2" compression fittings which really limits your tube routing to large bends.

The 3/8" Koolance compression fittings are compatible with all 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD tubing.Cheers,-Chris.
Is it a good bet that the EK NB Acetal block, with it's compression fittings, will also have a problem with my 1/2" Tygon R-3603 tubing?

I've put together a table of all the Tygon products of interest to me/my store and have provided metric conversions in the table.

Sorry for the 'product' page, but this is the simplest means to present the info for you: http://www.gammods.com.au/store/inde...roducts_id=391
Note that the same specifications table is provided on each of the Tygon product pages.

    Nice!

I haven't seen this yet either. Another vote for sticky.

I too would love to see an aging comparison, but it would be pretty intensive as I'm sure it has part to do with the coolant used.

So I was just ready to pull the trigger on 10' of some Tygon 3603, but I read through this thread and seems there are some detractors to the 3603. I did notice my masterkleer going cloudy after use and want something that will stay clear, not really worried about bending radius as I have large amounts of room.

It looks like it was useful bumping this for some, but does anyone have a
suggestion/some advice for my question? Is silicone tubing good or not?

Is there any testing of which tubing lets the most uv rays through? I know in my loop, the tygon 3603 is acceptably clear, but it lets VERY LITTLE uv light in unless you are basically touching the tube with the uv light, so all of the uv coolant stuff I bought was a waist of money.

I think that the Koolance blue uv Tubing looks really good (a nice blue crystal clear when unlit, and a nice blue when lit), but it kinks too ez and doesn't stay that clear for too long .

    UV tests plz then sticky!

Thing I noticed is the black tygon and the regular 3603 reacted very different when under pressure in my loop. Initially I had very tiny bends in them, and they came out quickly when pressurized.

So I guess my point is shouldn't the tests bending etc be done under some set water pressure? That is real world use.

I think he is talking about how tubing comes under stress when there is large amounts of flow in the tubes and depending on the tubing they react differently. Not sure how much it really affects the tubing I don't notice anything but I've hear of Iwaki's collapsing tubes though lol
