You're missing the point though, the Stealth is not an active full card cooler.

I'm fully aware that it's not a full active cooler. Call me silly, but I think the cooler is displacing more heat into the water from the alum than most ppl give it credit for.

I was thinking about a design that was somewhat similar to what HeatKiller does with their GPU blocks. Have the main block cool the core and have a 1mm to 2mm plate attach to the base (like in your design) that has the size and shape to cover everything, with a delrin top to pull everything together.

Naive question, but is there a quanity breakpoint that you have to do..500?1000? Maybe there is a market for an "unreasonably" priced one or am I being naive due to it's for a video card and they change so often?

the cost is unreasonably unreasonable, trust me on that. No matter what the quantities at this point.
