    asus p5k won't overclock

    This is massmans board , it's a rev 2.0 and no matter what we apply or sett it will not allow any overclocking at manual.
    The only posibility is working with nos or standard oc.

    This is pretty ty when having a QX6800 and still 20liters of ln2 left...

    any ideas?

    thx

    Have you tried clearing the CMOS?
    I've been having a hard time with my P5K Premium and have discovered that clearing the CMOS is an absolute must after flashing the BIOS.
    One of the problems I was having was that after a BIOS flash I lost pretty well all manual overclocking ability. The PC would either boot at stock speed or underclock itself, but rarely would boot at what the settings in the BIOS were. Clearing the CMOS after each flash seems to do the trick.

    Also have you disabled all the CPU features like: EIST, C1, TM, Speed Step ?

    Another thing is to consider checking the CPU socket for any bent pins..it's possible.

    mine works just fine... I take it you didn't play with it before you started dumping the ln2.

    Actually we(blind_ripper,Massman and myself) did

    Something is quite odd with massmans board.

    Manual oc --> +1mhz = nogo

    NOS + any % = a go
