Thank you Nuno, symphy, dinos22 and the rest of people that contribute to this EVGA 680i A1 Vcore Vdroop thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=154897

I do a quick pencil VDroop mod and works like a charm

Before doing this mod : 1.80v set in bios (max) -> drops to 1.74v
Afeter doing the mod : 1.80v set in bios -> rock solid at 1.80v in Bios and Windows - as you can see in this image:

Now with Droop mod in EVGA680i A1, at 1.80V in the mini-cascade this QX6850 can pass:
    - With 2 Cores enabled - 3DMark2001 at around 5.100Mhz
    - With 4 Cores enabled- 3DMark2006 at 4.850Mhz, altought 1.8v is really to much for the mini-cascade with 4Cores on so have to try lower VCore voltages.

Now is time to find the best multipliers for CPU and memory..

After that, I will put my 2 8800ultras for some 3DMark SLI action

    Pedro,

Vdroop pencil works like a charm indeed, had one on my p5n32e-sli and works great...

That 4cores are killing the cascade with that vcore...
    ricky's garage is the key

Wanna see real 3d action with that config, when i say real is REAL

    Congrats on the setup Pedro.

Really sweet and a good improvement.

Going to be cool with 8800Ultras in SLI .

    Keep pushing it.

we've got a QX6850 on similar cooling tomorrow hoping to do some 4.8Ghz + clocks and some 3D

we can only play with gigabyte 680i for the event but two different boards have been playing up and not even posting wish we could get it going as we've got a couple of ultras with dice tubes slapped onto them lol

    Thanks Vince

I don't have any Stryker, but test it with an EVGA 680i A1 and the results seems quite nice

Also notice the PWM circuits remains at very acceptable temperatures for Quads

It's a very compact cascade (2 compressors) and very silent - almost the same noise levels of a Vapochill.

It uses old Danfoss compressors from Prometeia from the 1st stage and the original VapoLS compressor for the 2nd stage

Uses the easy mounting system of the VapoLS, so is quite good for my hobby since I can change CPU's in less than 1 minute

Yep near that with 2 full stock 8800ultras with no mods and a X6800 @ 4.950Mhz.

It's quite possible to have some improvements, since with 2 cores enable the QX6850 put less heat / load on the mini-cascade and should run my favorite game at near 5.050Mhz or a bit more..
