Cool Can Anyone with Western Digital Raptor Drives, Post your PCMark2002 Scores?

I want PCmark2002 scores from people with Western Digital Serial ATA 10,000 RPM Raptor drives.
I don't really care about Atto or Sisoft Sandra pics, cause I don't benchmark with them, just PCmark.
Raid or no single drives, doesn't matter.
    just wanna see some numbers.

I plan on selling my 2 IBM Deskstars from my second PC (my game PC) and getting serial stuff.
these are the Only Serial drives worth looking at in my opinion, thats why I want to see some numbers from them.

    heres my little IBM's.

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm=1385707

a very ho hum kinda score, but this is all on air, with a 2.4C and stock cooling, so it's pretty good in that sense.
but wow, FUGGER your raptors kill my little IBM's.

AND LOOK at that Memory score, HOLY &^%* 11,900...
it's nice to see some real scores finally, since I can't get any real scores from PCmark ORB, cause the first 20 pages are all fakes.

it's never really doubling the performance, just adding to it.
    it's more like a 30-40% jump.
the bigger the HD to less it seems to be a Jump.
the more stuff on the drive, the more the scores drop.
my best scores are about 1650, with a complete fresh install of the OS.

as someone already said, they only have raptors in the 36.7GB size. who really needs more than 36GB of space for their OS and apps anyway? a second bigger slower drive should work fine for your MP3s, Divx and whatever else you've got.

i've got one of those IBM 15k drives, don't waste your money on them. the Raptor is faster.

check out SR, they've got a nice database with all sorts of ways to filter the results.

Typos aside, that turns out not to be the case. 5130 and 5272 are HD scores for that system.

However, something odd is going on, certainly. The HD score result doesn't appear on the ORB server regardless whether the boot volume is IDE (motherboard) or SATA (PCI card).

retrospooty did you get that memory score with the timings in your sig of 2x512meg Corsair pc3500 at CAS 2-3-2-7 at 228mhz?

or was that score done with a higher fsb/better timings?

cos at 290fsb 5:4 and 2/2/2/5 with my 2x256mb xms3500 i ony got 11217 and this is my every day 24/7 stable speed.

my WD 80gb SE scores 1100.

    WD 36GB Raptor on: -

    Abit IS7 (ICH5) - 1362
    Abit NF7-S v1.2 (Sii 3112A) - 978

Works so much nicer on the Intel Southbridge for some reason, and thats only 1 drive btw

has anyone got a pcmark of 2 WD 80gb SE drives to compare how these go against the raptors? cos they are half the price of the raptors and my SE gets 1100, a raptor gets 1300, there aint a huge difference in speed.

im considering buying another 80gb SE to raid 0 cos im not paying for 2 raptors and already have 1 SE

the raptors are very overpriced simply because they are sata drives (which dont mean ยงยงยงยง since current sata is no faster than current eide cos none of the drives come near to the bandwidth limit and sata is only 17mbps more maximum anyway). if the same drives were eide they would be half that price or less.

Yup, it ran as posted in my sig. That is my everyday speed as well.

Something is goofy with my results though. It reports my CPU as 3340 when it is 3420, and I get no CPU score. THe results for the CPU test say "no OGG encoder".

MY 3dm2k1 and 2k3 scores linked in my sig do display properly.
