Not that I doubt that he slipped in the kitchen but I hardly doubt that you diagnose a bruised kidney. In any case you if you could, do you think you ll notice?
I mean kidneys are retropeitoneal elements. You could check kidney performance by testing its creatinine clearence or you could use inuline ( although not recommended as it is an exogen and you ll have to introduce it with a IV).

Got a bit off topic. Hope you get on well Gray!!!!

Pretty easy to diagnose a bruised kidney, peeing blood/red, orange, or black

thats a guesstimate with a high accuracy index, but not a diagnosis. One sign can t lead you to diagnose and or treat someone. Several things should be taken into consideration.

    Cheers

I spoke to his wife - and she told me had bruised his kidneys and damaged his back as a result of the fall. I can't imagine how he did it - he must have fallen really awkwardly. To top it all he's had surgery on his hand so I believe.

Ouch! I had a kidney biopsy before. The tool to take the core sample was the size of a knitting needle.
