Kayls CNC machined cpu/Gpu and Brazed Nb tubes

CNc machined pots, first run for tests

CPu tubes copper base weights 866g and the aluminum tube is 470g

Mount plates not made yet though.

Gpu base is 1.168kg and aluminium tube 383g

    One card fits easy

I did a mock up on my P5K board, it doesnt look like theres much room but for the SLI boards (Striker, eVGA, etc) there is much more clearance between PCI-E x16 slots around 85mm compared to 63mm on this P5k.

    new gpu mount plates

Think you messed up with that last photo kayl.
These pots fit easilt between SLI cards on an SLI board (unlike the one in your photo)

i recieved my kayl gpu pots today, very seckzi,

just the weight of copper in the base is awesome, there is a good 1-1.5cm of copper between the gpu plate and the internals of the pot, so it should handle high heatload of 8800 and the swing of ln2 well,

i think kayl made a good decision with the copper/alum hybrid, the alum shaft has nice thick walls but is also light so doesnt add unrequired weight to a part of the gpu tube that isn't required for temp control,

i took to the gpu plate with brasso and it came up a treat, a great mirror finish, ill be testing this pot with 1-2kg of dice on tuesday (any more than that and ill be up all night benching) to see how it improves the clocks of my 8800..

all in all these pots turned out great, very happy with the design and aesthetics, performance will be measured on tuesday night..

How do you thread the base and pots? Is there a tool or is it milled on the cnc machine?
