    Antec 900 vs Antec P180B 1.1

    Antec 900 vs Antec P180B

Which one should I keep? I got both coming from the compusa sale and the price is within $20 so it dosn't really matter.

What I want is good cooling to transfer the same exact system in my sig to the new case. I'm going to be using a tuniq tower instead of TTBT.

So best case for noise, cooling ect? I'm lending towards the P180B 1.1 but I'm not sure if the case will be to hot considering.

I have both cases and use the TT120 in both - the 900 is a smaller case with the better air flow and therefore better cooling, how ever because of all the fans it is a dust magnet and you will need to blow out the dust at least once a month. As to noise the P180 is the quieter of the two cases and the easier to work with. Cable management in the 900 becomes quite important if you want the outstanding air flow patterns that are designed into the build.

So if you are a neat builder and have a good cable management system the 900 will be a better option, but if noise is the issue then go P180.

i really dislike the antec 900.... its attrachs too much dust. theres no cable mangement system.. im a neat freak.. i usualy like my inside of the computer clean and the cables out of the way... well thats who i am.. im getting rid of my antec 900 case soon replacing with a p182..

but then if u like quiet then p180b would be a great case. then if u want good cooling then antec 900 should be better. yet i think the airflow on both is the same... methink

Do you know this for a fact? I don't wanna have to send it back... Btw, my friend has a 900 and he hates it. Too small and wire management is a nightmare.

from first hand experience at my workplace, the 900 is a case that would attract too much dust and is not in my realm of taste in terms of flashiness. Trying to management on the cable on the case is a nightmare albeit with patience it can be done. Im glad i stuck with the p180b after seeing the 900 firsthand 3 months after the fact when i got the case.

How much does the closed door reduce the airflow in a p180? I was thinking of putting a Scythe Kama bay in the bottom three 5.25 bays to have equal intake.

+1... I'm astounded at my C2D temps in Antec 900. I have all the fans on Medium, and my CPU fan on 80% duty cycle. Something to note is at those settings, I can hear my CPU fan over the fans in the case.

My E6850 core temps hit 57c when OCed to 3.6GHz - assuming that the +15c offset I put into Speedfan is really required. Idle at 3.6Ghz is 28-30c depending on ambient.

I can see that it will take regular checking and cleaning to blow out accumulated dust, but this is an awesome cooling case.

    900 my choice..
I have 1 and yes cooling is great with this case, cable management sucks..
Huge nest of wires on bottom of case running 5 harddrives..2 burners..
But I modded the case , cut holes in the back to run cables now it manages cables alot better..

P180B just looks so much more elegant, the case as a whole has a much smarter design than the 900. The 900 is a bit embarrassing, really.
