    Overclocking Questions/Advice

Ok looking to overclock my cpu again to stop bottlenecking my overclocked 8800 gts.

Having a few problems and looking for some advice.
I currently am using the Asus P5NE-Sli 650i Motherboard, and i am finding it hard to find overclocking guides for this motherboard, so does anyone have any guides or a quick one they can write up here.
i am looking to stop at 3ghz for now so its fully stable and good performance.
I am also wondering if i should put some kind of cooling on the sb? as it is not got any cooling on it at all.
Any other advice that can be given to help me overclock my cpu would be very greatfully accepted.

Btw is my Corsair XMS2 675 Ram with 4,4,4,12 timings a good speed ram to overclock with? (baring in mind i can do unlinked overclocking) i tried running this ram at 800 speed with 5,5,5,12 timings and 2.1v and it isnt stable so need some advice on this maybe more voltage?

    Thanks

sorry if that seems a little rambled but i was thinking what to say :P

Btw just to add on something current cooling is, Hyper tx with Zalman ZMSG1 on it on the cpu, stock voltage.
Northbridge is stock with a powerfull 8cm fan aimed at it and the ram.
    Southbridge completely uncooled.
I am going to be getting the new coolermaster rc 690 once it comes out to improve ambient temps

its really all common sense, just go to the jumperfree configuration thing and say manual OC, then change your FSB to OC your proc, make sure you set it to unlinked first... i mean i dont know what to say, i can run stable at 3.2ghz with an aftermarket cooler easily..

oh yeah, and like a core2duo at 2.7ghz isnt bottlenecking anything... so you dont really need to OC btw. many people have done tests and processors that cost 1k such as some extreme one, give like 65 fps in some game, where the e6400 gave 62 fps, they tested for lots of games and it was only a LITTLE difference. i mean, whats the dam point if you dont see the difference, the answer: if you just like the competition and bragging rights

7 x 350 is the highest you can go with that RAM.

    Sorry mate.

    To get that,

    CPU @ 1.375
RAM @ 2.1v (stock timings should be fine)
NB & SB @ Auto should be fine.

675mhz DDR2 doesn't give you any FSB room, and they don't OC well at all, I used to have the exact same sticks.
