    Asus P5k Deluxe/wifi-ap Intel P35

I just purchased a ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP INTEL P35 and I want to use the OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 Reaper HPC Edition ram with it. Pros? Cons? Better suggestions?

Tauvo , im surprised you have received noreply here yet. Ryder and Andy are usualy much quicker to give a helpin hand .
I have seen afew use the OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 Reaper and/or Flex , so i think as far as compatibility there fine . Im not sure if there would be a better choice from OCZ nor if theres any cons though .
Hopfuly someone will chime in with some more positive info for ya .

Thank you for the replies Subsider and jozzy.

I have been doing my homework and read the following over at OCZ and trying to get a good feel for it there.

    http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=29643

When I was at the Asus website they don't have what I am asking about listed there.

    http://usa.asus.com/100/download/pro...46/1646_10.pdf

So before I go and make a purchase and do something that I will not be happy with OR possibly void my warranty when I install it I wanted to make sure here first.

I have been also looking at:

    CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

    http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820145043

    and this one...

    http://www.memoryc.com/products/desc..._kit/index.htm

I have had very good luck with OCZ in the past but I have to make sure (or I want to make sure as best I can) before I make this purchase. It is one of the last things I need to get for my new system.

Hi, sorry for the delay getting back to you. It's been a busy weekend.

I own the P5K Deluxe myself and am running a kit of the 8500 Reaper HPC in it right now. It works really well, overclocks easily, with slightly lower volts than most of the other boards (the P35 chipset is awsome). 4 sticks even work very well. It's a great board.

I have tested pretty much all of our PC2-8500 an higher memory and have had no issues at all. You can get the Reaper or any other type of OCZ PC2-8500 and it will run the same.

You can always get help directly from me if you need it.

    Thanks

I ordered the memory today http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227191 and it is nice to see that Newegg is also running a rebate on it so thank you (to everyone) for helping me decide on this memory.
