RAM/Memory of Choice...Dominator???

I am planning to get a DDR-2 Duel Ram the price of the Corsiar Dominator pc8500 2x 1gb, has gone down to about $152 now and i have heard both good an bad about this RAM so i thought i ask you guys your opinion. I am loooking to put the ram into an EVGA 680i A1. I an getting a 8800 GTX andq6600. ANy recommendations on RAM or is the dominator a good choice? Thanks.

Ps. can the Dominator fan work over any ram?

The dominator RAM is fine but if it were me I would save money and go with Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 for around $80 and overclock it to the dominator's speed.

Corsiar Dominator pc8500 are good sticks but personally i would go for Crucial Ballistix 8500 cos of the better overclocking potential..
and yes the dominator fan works with pretty much every ram that there is.. the name is really misleading, many peeps think that its aimed just for the dominator series ram sticks..

What about getting 2 sets of Corsiar Dominator pc6400 2x 1gb for a total of
4 gb, instead of 1 set of Crucial Ballistix 8500 2x 1gb.
and i guess ill try to OC the it to 1066.

Do you need 4GB, what OS will you be using? If you aren't using a x64 OS then 4GB is a waste.

Not sure of teh diff really, but some one recommened the first one in another thread.

Do those even need a dominator fan to cool them? Do you know if these guys run hot?
